Summer starts here!
Summer Starts at Y Day Camp, where kids enjoy an action-packed summer full of FRIENDS, FULFILLMENT and FUN! Y Camp provides an exciting, safe experience for kids to learn new skills, be creative, build self-confidence, gain independence and make lasting friendships.
The Y offers DOZENS of camps for all interests, including traditional outdoor camps, a huge variety of sports camps and themed camps for every interest -- like aquatics, cooking, art, theater, science, music and so much more!
Please see registration details at the bottom of this page.
Through branch locations throughout the St. Louis area, the Y runs 10 camp sessions June 1 - August 7. Some branches begin camps May 26. Camps are available for ages 3-16. Full-day and some half-day camps are available. PLEASE NOTE: Camp ages, types, schedules and prices vary by branch.
The Y is offering a few unique camps right now that haven’t been offered before and there is still time to sign up – especially for families who may be stretched financially for summer camp!
Power Scholars: Offered at Marian Middle School, this full-day summer school program is available for incoming 4th-8th graders. Although Marian is a girls school during the school year, the summer school is for both boys and girls. Marian Middle School is located at 4130 Wyoming just blocks from Tower Grove Park. Summer school will run from June 29th - July 31st. There is a $50 registration fee that is refundable if students maintain attendance of 80% or higher.
Friends of Ferguson: Grants are available to send up to 60 children to YMCA Camp Lakewood for a week! Camp Lakewood is the Y’s overnight camp located in Potosi, Missouri. Each child will be able to enjoy one week of camp at no charge (additional weeks can be applied for through Camp Lakewood’s scholarship program). Children must live within the service area of the Emerson Family Y (in Ferguson), or the Monsanto Family Y, or the O’Fallon Park Rec Complex in the City of St. Louis and be eligible for free/reduced lunch to qualify.
Riverview Gardens: Through a generous donation by the Regional Business Council, Reinvest North County Fund and the United Way of Greater St. Louis, the Y is able to provide FREE fun, inspiring and educational science-based summer camp programs for 11-14 year olds. Through this effort, we’ll also provide a leadership development program for 15 year olds in the Y’s Counselor-In-Training program, as well as employment opportunities for 16-17 year olds as junior counselors. The Y will provide five weeks of science-themed camps titled, “The Summer of Mad Science.” Openings are still available.
National Parks Partnership: We are proud to partner with the U.S. National Park Service on the Play, Learn, Serve, Work outdoors program. This initiative offers four new, fun and educational summer camp opportunities this summer to individuals throughout the bi-state region. Click HERE for more information.
