Military Membership

Here at the Gateway Region YMCA, we offer a military discount for those actively serving in any branch of the Armed Services. Simply present a military ID card and we will discount your joining fee and first month's dues 50%.

Children can also stay connected during separation by building holiday care packages for their parent and taking advantage of services like United Through Reading, that videotapes a parent reading their child’s favorite book, or the Armed Services YMCA’s Operation Kid Comfort program that provides a personally handcrafted quilt or pillow.

* Membership dues and joining fee apply and access is subject to YMCA policies and guidelines. Please visit branch for details. Classes and amenities vary per branch.

Armed Services YMCA & the Department of Defense Military Outreach Initiative
We are proud to announce that the Department of Defense has extended this successful program until March 2019!

We understand that military families are under enormous strain, and that military life comes with unique challenges. Deployments and frequent moves can be a stressful and uncertain time for our nation’s servicemen and women and their families.

In partnership with the Armed Services YMCA, the Y is proud to offer memberships and respite child care services to eligible military families and personnel through the Department of Defense’s (DoD) Military Outreach Initiative.

The Military Outreach Initiative gives service members and military families extra support and access to vital resources that promote youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. It’s another way of giving back to those who dedicate themselves to serving our country.
