Camp Add-Ons & Extras
Horsemanship · $235
Traditional Campers add-on to learn the basics of horse care and riding through hands-on experience. Learn grooming and saddling, barn chores, and riding instruction.
Ages 10–16 · Sessions: 1–4, 6–8
Advanced Arts & Crafts · $145
Traditional Campers will explore a variety of creative projects: painting their own ceramic pieces, tie-dye, stepping stones, keychains or jewelry, or pouring & decorating candles.
Ages 8–16 · Sessions: 1–4, 6–8
Canopy Zip · $20
Designed for our campers (ages 11-16) who are ready to explore the outdoors on our canopy zipline!
Sessions: 1–9
Stayover · $165
Campers attending consecutive sessions have the option to stay at camp between sessions. Includes meals and activities.
After sessions: 1, 2, 3, 6, 7
Transportation · $55 each way
Terminals at South County YMCA and O'Fallon Park Rec Complex. Available for ALL SESSIONS.

Happy Camper Kit · $50 per kit
Packed with camp-inspired goodies and fun surprises, Happy Camper Kits add a touch of magic to your camper’s week. Kits are delivered directly to campers during their stay.

Registration Information
Important Registration Information
Camp fees require a nonrefundable $200 deposit per session to register. The remaining balance is due by May 1st. You can access your account anytime to make payments or review your registration details.
All required forms can be completed or uploaded directly through your online account, or you may email them to the Camp Lakewood team at camplakewood@gwrymca.org.
A medical exam with a physician's signature is required and must have been completed within 24 months of your camper's arrival. We accept your doctor's form—it is not necessary to use ours. In addition, please submit a copy of your camper's insurance card and immunization records at least four weeks before camp begins.
Tiered Pricing
Tiered Pricing
We understand that families have different abilities to pay for summer camp. To honor that, we offer a two-tier voluntary pricing system for many of our camp sessions.
Tier 1: Reflects the true cost of participating in camp, encompassing operational expenses. We invite you to opt for Tier 1 pricing if it aligns with your family's financial capabilities.
Tier 2: Covers the fundamental camp costs — food, staffing, and basic supplies — and is offered so more families are able to participate.
You’ll be asked to choose your preferred pricing tier during the online registration process. The choice is completely confidential and does not impact the quality of your child’s camp experience. If you have questions or would like advice on which tier makes sense for your family, please contact us at camplakewood@gwrymca.org.
Discounts
Discounts
We offer a number of discounts to support families and thank you for choosing us. If you believe you qualify, make sure you select it during registration or contact us ahead of time to ensure it is applied.
YMCA Member Discount
Members of the Gateway Region YMCA receive a $100 discount on the registration fee for Sessions 1-3, and a $45 discount for Sessions 4-9.
Military Family Discount
Active duty military families are eligible for a 20% program-fee discount. Request the military discount during your online registration, and bring your military ID at check-in.
Multi-Child Discount
For families registering multiple children from the same household, we apply a $35 reduction toward the balance for the second, third, and subsequent children. Please request this discount at the time of registration.
Refer a Friend
Returning Camp Lakewood families can refer a new camper from a different household and you’ll both receive $100 off your camp session fees. Referral credits are applied when the new camper registers and names your family. (Discounts apply to session fees only.)
Financial Assistance
Financial Assistance
For families who need additional support, we are happy to offer financial assistance opportunities.
Financial assistance is available for those who qualify, and you can find the application linked here. If you're in the greater St. Louis area, inquire at your local Gateway Region YMCA location or contact us at camplakewood@gwrymca.org. Applying early allows for efficient processing.
Families and supporters interested in contributing to our campership assistance fund may contact us directly at camplakewood@gwrymca.org or by visiting our Annual Campaign Donation website to get started. Your generosity helps ensure more children have access to the magic of camp.
Last year, we raised $192,000 in financial assistance to support our Camp Lakewood campers. Thank you for your support!
My daughter just got home from camp & she hasn’t stopped talking about all the amazing things she got to do and learn. She has already begged me to let her return next year for the 2 week program. She wouldn’t have been able to attend without a scholarship so to those that give, we thank you for making it possible for her to attend camp for the first time. We will definitely be back next year!
