Emerson YMCA summer camp and youth programming

Youth & Teens

A summer of fun. A place for every child to belong.

At the Emerson YMCA, summer camp is more than a place for kids to spend their days. It's an opportunity to make friends, try new things and build confidence in a safe, welcoming environment. In summer 2026, Emerson served 101 campers, including 16 children with documented disabilities or Individualized Education Plans.

Staff worked to ensure every child could participate and feel included, providing daily accommodations when needed. From free swim lessons through Go for Green to science experiments, Techbridge Girls activities and even a visit from a petting zoo, campers enjoyed experiences designed to help them learn, grow and have fun.

You see teens. We see leaders in the making.

Through Annual Campaign support, the Emerson YMCA can continue making quality summer camp experiences affordable and accessible for more children and families throughout North County.
